Secrets to a perfect grid

A few years ago, I purchased an oversized frame from Pottery Barn with the idea of framing a collage of clocks or photos. Unfortunately the frame is still in my garage, along with dozens of other treasures for my “next house,” but this creative blogger inspires me to get the frame out and clear some wall space. I love the wallpaper backdrop.

American Flag tutorial

I love patriotic decor. I had my eye on a large wooden flag at Tai Pan that finally went on "clearance" for $60. I quickly decided I could recreate it for a fraction of the price. I found this tutorial, which sounds super easy. Now I just need to find an abandoned crate and buy some paint. Wish me luck. Painting is not my best talent…

Faux vintage milk glass vases

This project is cheap and easy – just how I like ‘em.

Head to the thrift store to find some old glass vases and transform them into faux vintage milk glass vases with white spray paint (the artist recommends Krylon Multipurpose Indoor/Outdoor Gloss White). Then add some fresh flowers to create a fun seasonal display. Flowers above include some of my favorites: white stock, yellow ranunculus and red tulips. I love spring.

Additional instructions are available here.
